Two Euro Syndicates Miss Jackpot By One Number

The members of two of e-lottery’s Euro syndicates shared Euromillions winnings of £12,560.40 in last Friday’s draw.  They did this by matching 4 of their common syndicate numbers plus the 2 “lucky star” numbers, which courtesy of e-Lottery, are guaranteed in every single Euro Millions draw.

The payout for a single ticket holder matching the 4 main numbers plus the 2 lucky star numbers was £2,628.70.  However, the 2 eLottery Euro Millions syndicates each won £6,280.20.

I guess you are now wondering how and why these e-lottery syndicates won almost 3 times the cash picked up by an individual matching exactly the same amount of numbers.

Here’s how.  The 2 winning syndicates not only received a payout for matching 4+2 lucky stars but in addition each syndicate contained 14 lines that matched 4+1 lucky star as well as 21 lines that matched 4+0 lucky stars!  These additional wins are simply down to the way the numbers are distributed within the e-Lottery syndicate system.
